Internship Summary

Marmon Retail Solutions Operation Group is looking for an engaged and enthusiastic Intern to join our Summer 2023 paid internship program. Interns are encouraged to think and act like entrepreneurs and are provided significant responsibility and autonomy to get things done. As an intern, you will gain substantial personal learning and career development opportunities through ownership of real-world job assignments, strong coaching and mentorship and networking with senior leaders across the organization. Over the course of this program, Interns will gain tangible, hands-on experience, and insight into the customer concept to production processes and methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Preparation: Gather data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, and APIs. Clean and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis. Data Analysis: Assist in conducting data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions. Use tools like SQL, Excel, or PowerBI software to perform data queries and calculations. Report and Dashboard Creation: Assist in creating visual reports, dashboards, and interactive data visualizations to present findings to stakeholders. Data Interpretation: Help interpret the data findings in the context of the business goals. Collaborate with the team to understand the implications of the data insights and make recommendations. Performance Metrics: Assist in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance. Business Insight: Participate in discussions with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data analysis requirements. Contribute to brainstorming sessions to explore innovative ways to leverage data for business growth. Documentation: Document your analysis processes, data transformations, and findings for future reference. Create user-friendly guides for non-technical stakeholders to understand the insights. Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist in conducting ad hoc analysis based on specific business inquiries or emerging needs.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree Program with a focus on Computer Science, IT Data Analytics or Computer Engineering. Junior status preferred. 3.0+ GPA Proficient in using software applications, especially Microsoft Office Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Collaborates well in both one-on-one and teamwork settings Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check as permitted or required by applicable law.

Certain peak periods may provide an opportunity for overtime. This is a paid position. Internship will run for 10 weeks from June to August. Exact dates flexible.
