POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports anesthesia care providers during general anesthesia, invasive monitoring and vascular access procedures within the main OR and all anesthesia supported satellite areas. Assembles supplies and equipment as appropriate for scheduled procedure. Provides sustained support throughout the entire surgical/procedural experience. Identifies and obtains additional supplies and equipment during the invasive procedure as necessary. Ensures appropriate infection control practices before, during and after surgical/procedural interventions. Responsible for restocking, maintaining appropriate supplies as needed for both scheduled and urgent emergent procedures. Supports departmental patient care and efficiency initiatives and assists in maintaining a patient centered environment. Complies with instructions from the anesthesia supervisor and perioperative leadership team to whom they are responsible.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent experience and at least four years experience in a hospital with anesthesia technician experience. Completion of Anesthesia Technician Certification program and certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.
