SUMMARY:

Takes responsibility for high quality customer service specific to student accounts by implementing the college financial aid procedures, policies, and guidelines. Person interacts with students, parent, and the public community on a daily basis. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with financial aid application process & presents at new student orientation. Create estimates based on financial aid availabilities. Create third party student payment plans. Be responsible for following-up with students and making sure they submit their necessary documents. Partner with Admission staff to ensure the student completes the enrollment and financial aid process in a timely manner. Reviews and interprets applicable principles, federal, and/or state laws and regulations in the course of official duties. Will be responsible to verify and explain verbally and written financial aid awards and charges associated with the student estimates. Attends and participates in meetings and events related to assigned responsibilities. Provides students with exceptional customer service at office, via telephone and email. Accurately maintains student files to submit all documentation to a third party servicer. Communicate with third party financial aid servicer and be the campus liaison between them and the students. Review daily reports from third party. Manage the receipt of electronically transferred funds and post the students account for such payments. Work with Registrar to update student enrollment status in a timely manner. Participate in gainful employment reporting. Advise students on exit counseling. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher A minimum of (3) years of professional experience in different aspects of administration and business practices Strong listening, problem analysis and solving skills. Organizational skills with an attention to detail. Has stress tolerance and resilience when responding to challenging customers. Adaptability to work alone or within a team. Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and apply established law, regulations, procedures, precedents, and guidelines. Ability to keep confidentiality of student/parent financial and personal information. Ability to work in a fast paced/demanding environment.
