OverviewJob Summary
This position handles receives visitors, handles all Distribution Center central switchboard calls, and provides clerical support to various departments at the Distribution Center. Perform related work.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer and direct all external and internal calls coming through the switchboard.
- Maintain current list of all exceptions for handling calls, including people out of office, cell phone numbers or other special instructions.
- Monitors telephone system and reports problems to Office Administrator or directly to IT help desk.
- Greet, assist, announce and direct all Distribution Center visitors.
- Schedule and maintain computerized record of appointments for office staff.
- Locate DC staff using paging system or radio.
- Maintain log of visitors entering the warehouse.
- Maintain records of company spare fleet vehicles.
- Parcel delivery (UPS) coordination.
- Accept employment applications and route them to HR department.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties for various departments, including typing, data entry, sorting, filing, copying, addressing and stamping envelopes.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
Experience:
- Demonstrating the ability to follow direction, rules and policy as provided by management.
- Demonstrating proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software.
- Demonstrating initiative and self-direction, ability to work independently and/or in a team environment, be dependable and possess excellent time management skills.
Ability to:
- Project a pleasant and cooperative attitude at all times to represent WinCo Foods in a professional and positive manner to everyone this position has contact with.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, utilizing excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communications skills.
- Possess good recall for names and numbers.
- Field and prioritize varied tasks, phone calls and projects.
- Perform with accuracy clerical tasks requiring speed and manual dexterity.
- Establish a good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, customers and others.
- Sit and twist upper body for extended periods of time.
- Use both hands repetitively for extended periods of time.
- Perform all tasks with integrity and dependability.
Machines and Equipment Operated:
- Switchboard, computer keyboard, mouse, office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, scanner, etc.) and other devices.
- Preferred Education, Experience and/or Credentials:
- One or more years experience in a professional office environment performing similar duties.
