*Description:*

The Systems Engineer will be working in support of Traffic Operations Center (TOC), which is a division dedicated to supporting the various devices on our roadways (digital signage, traffic cameras, road weather info systems, etc). There are 5 TOCs across the state of Virginia (Hampton Roads, Staunton, Richmond, Northern Virginia, Salem)-- and all of them run together on their own network, separate from IT-D network.

This role will be directly supporting the network/systems environment for Traffic Operations Center (TOC) in Northern Virginia. The TOC provides 24x7x365 operations and supports the IoT devices on the roadways to: provide Situational Awareness, Support District Leadership and Traffic Operations SMEs, Support Travel / Incident management, manage District / Corridor Operational Technology (OT) Services management (the OT is the 'center of excellence' for the various TOCs across the state), coordination for Break fix, and assist with restoration of service.
