Colorectal Surgeon for Cleveland Clinic South Pointe HospitalThe Department of Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking a Colorectal Surgeon to provide care at South Pointe Hospital. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a community hospital setting at this premier regional location and would be joining a group of 3 general surgeons and 2 gastroenterologists. This position is associated with 5 ACGME accredited Colorectal Residency Program, 3 Fellowship Council-accredited International fellowship program, and locally, an ACGME accredited and osteopathically recognized Surgical Residency Program. Candidates should have a strong interest in education.Candidates would join a team of 22 Colorectal Surgeons within the Department of Colorectal Surgery throughout Northeast Ohio. This is an established and respected team with a desire to provide the utmost in quality care for patients. The Department has a strong academic record with faculty leaders in their respective fields and a large number of annual extramural grants and publications. Within the Department are the Sanford R. Weiss, MD Center for Hereditary Colorectal Neoplasia, a multidisciplinary team of specialists dedicated to the care of patients with hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes, the Edward J. DeBartolo Jr. Family Center for Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer, one of the nation's premier multidisciplinary teams aimed at treating early-onset colorectal cancer, and the Endoluminal Surgery Center, with a focus on innovative endoluminal procedures to remove advanced colon polyps and early stage cancers.Candidates must have completed an Accredited Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Program, be Board Eligible in Colorectal Surgery, be able to obtain an Ohio medical license and meet hospital credentialing requirements.Cleveland Clinic is a nonprofit, multi-specialty academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education.
