Job Posting Title Sr. Electrical Engineer

Job Description Summary AAM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer capable of acting in the role of Senior Electrical Engineer upon projects in the automotive driveline, powertrain, and electrification spaces. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be primarily responsible for leading the electrification product development, support and product maintenance. The engineer should also interface with OEMs or contractors to figure out customer requirement, answer RFQ and set requirement for contracting work.

Job Description • Conduct AAM powertrain or driveline board-level design, testing, product maintenance.

• Design and test circuits including but not limited to control board, driver board etc. based on auto standards and customer requirement.

• Set up the testing system with ECU and motor. • Interface with other domains to ensure product capability and performance. • Translates customer requirements into product specifications; interfaces with customer representatives to ensure their desired features and performance levels are properly comprehended in product specifications. • Size and calculate the necessary electrical parts used in the system based on project needs.

• Provide analysis report for system evaluation.

Required Skills and Education • More than 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive driveline electrical controls electronics. DV or PV Testing experience

• Master degree or bachelor degree with equivalent experience in electronics is required.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Familiar with power switches, system basis chips, gate drivers, and analog/digital sensing and controls and their applications.

• Hands-on experience in board-level testing and trouble-shooting.

• Capable in doing failure analysis and providing solutions.

• Familiar with necessary testing apparatus/equipment.

Preferred: • Preference to mentor other co-ops or junior associates
