About Our Exciting Career Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced professional for the Staffing Specialist positon. As a part of our dynamic Human Resources team, the Staffing Specialist will manage the full-cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees.

The Staffing Specialist collaborates with key business partners to build, establish and evolve recruiting strategies to ensure a strong pipeline of well-qualified candidates and diverse talent. The Staffing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, and recommending candidates for various roles within the credit union and executes recruitment strategies to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent.

The Staffing Specialist will proactively identify future hiring needs, by developing strategies to source and attract high quality candidates by using databases, social media platforms, professional networks, job boards and community resources.

This is a hybrid position. The incumbent will be required to travel to our branches, corporate offices, community events and job fairs in Maryland.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, management, or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must have the ability to understand the applicant qualifications and how they fit in with the needs of the Credit Union.
  • Three years recruiting experience with a large organization or high volume, fast-paced working environment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, time management and general accounting skills are necessary.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and work in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office, familiar with and able to use computers, able to learn new software.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • The majority of this position may be performed during traditional office hours; however, the Staffing Specialist must be available during early morning or evening hours, as well as an occasional Saturday to interview candidates.
