OVERVIEW

The Regional Director of Finance will report directly to the Corporate Controller with a dotted line to Regional Operations Management and will be the glue to proactively partner with business unit and functional leaders across the company. Each facility will have a Plant Controller who will report to the Director of Regional Finance and will have a strong dotted line to the Site leader. The team's mission is to deliver complete, accurate, and timely financial information that can be relied upon to help drive swift and impactful financial and operational decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the Region's expert on accounting matters, partnering with the plants on structuring policies, and advising with respect to accounting implications. Being approachable by others who seek clarification and direction on accounting matters early in the cycle will be an important attribute of the right candidate
  • Monitor current trends in regulations related to accounting and reporting issues and provide guidance on technical accounting decisions and associated documentation
  • Lead an indirect team of 15+ professionals across strategic planning, operational finance, and change management, while providing clear direction on strategy, goals, objectives, and development
  • Inspire an effective, deeply motivated, and collaborative team, focusing on continuous development and growth of core, while contributing to a positive work environment
  • Partner with Corporate accounting team to develop improved processes, controls, and trainings for the financial teams, maintain communication on condition and status within the region, and be able to interpret and communicate corporate policy
  • Partner with the IT / Technology team to leverage both the development and integration of technology to improve efficiency in business and financial processes, including automation where appropriate
  • Develop positive relationships with each site leader, with the goal of being a trusted business advisor and leverage the finance function to add value to the business. Keep communication lines open to ensure proper partnership and involvement of the accounting team in business operations and strategy decisions

YEAR ONE CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
  • The Regional Director of Finance's focus will include oversight of the closing of the books for responsible locations, roll-up and consolidation, and FP&A (including location budgets). The Regional Finance Director will also be responsible for improving reporting, process disciplines, variance analysis, M&A/integration, along with financial and strategic decision making across the Region. This will encompass financial operations strategy, reporting, and risk management
  • The Regional Director of Finance will be a critical leader for integration of systems, processes, talent, and building a monthly cadence to financial reporting and analysis. This individual will also have the critical responsibility of developing the consolidation engine and leading/integrating a region-wide budgeting and forecasting process
Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years with a mix of Big 4 and manufacturing experience in a prior Regional Director of Finance or senior financial management leadership role
  • Experience building and leading an accounting team, reporting and analytics function, and infrastructure development program
  • Experience launching, integrating, and improving ERP systems and CPM (consolidation/reporting) systems to better report results that empower business units and functional teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP current trends, and developments
  • Experience in manufacturing, especially precision machining is highly valued
  • Deep experience with standard costing, and analysis of key variance measurements is highly preferred
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting; MBA is a plus
LOCATION
  • Ideally the successful candidate will be within driving distance of a major airport. Preference for candidates in central US due to integration with other Cadrex functions. Candidates will be able to work remotely with occasional travel (~50% per month) to the plant sites
