Summary:Monitor reception areas, greet patients, update chart information, and effectively initiate patient's visit.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:•Open office daily and provide adequate reception area environment for all patients.•Update patient's demographic and insurance information at each visit.•Communicate and interact effectively with patients and families, physicians, and peers to maximize successful patient outcomes.•Answer telephone calls courteously and direct calls appropriately.•Monitor the Schedule for workflow and patient wait times.•Create new charts and encounters through electronic registration.•Obtain proper patient identification and pictures, including any custody/guarantor documents.•Register each patient to create encounters electronically while obtaining and inputting correct patient information.•Collect co-pays and receive cash and check payments.•Verify Insurance Coverage and Information for each patient.•Perform all other duties as assigned.•Check Next Gen task and handles requests and jobs assigned therein efficiently.•Close Clinic as assigned.•Cover the patient check out and scheduling position for breaks, lunch, and other absences.•Provide spiritual care for the patients.•Perform all aspects of sliding fee process.•Perform encounter audits.•Be proficient if PM and EHR software.OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:•Grace Health recognizes that managing patient care is a team effort that involves clinical and non-clinical staff.
