EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OKLAHOMA AMERICORPS To Apply: Interested candidates should apply via email to info@okamericorps.com . Position Overview: The Executive Director will act as the chief executive officer of the Commission, responsible for setting and executing the organization's strategic goals. This leadership role involves a combination of high-level management, public representation, and the oversight of AmeriCorps programs in Oklahoma. The Executive Director will ensure the Commission operates efficiently and is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. This position offers a competitive salary, health insurance, life insurance, paid vacation and sick days, retirement, and a cell phone allowance. Principal Duties: Liaison Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison between the AmeriCorps Agency and Oklahoma AmeriCorps programs. Foster strong communication and collaboration between these groups to ensure the success of AmeriCorps initiatives in Oklahoma. Administration and Management: Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and goals for the Commission, ensuring alignment with overall strategic objectives. Oversee the day-to-day administrative functions to guarantee effective and efficient use of resources. Staff Management: Hire and supervise Commission staff and contractors, setting expectations and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Delegate special duties and ensure all staff roles are well-defined and executed. Program Oversight: Monitor and evaluate AmeriCorps programs to assess their performance, financial compliance, and alignment with federal regulations. Review, approve, and analyze annual budgets and financial records for sub-grantees, ensuring that program outcomes are achieved effectively. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the Commission adheres to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulatory requirements. Policy Implementation: Execute all policies and procedures established by the Commission, ensuring consistency, transparency, and effectiveness across the board. Government Relations: Serve as the Commission’s representative to the Governor and elected officials, advocating for the Commission’s programs and goals. Work closely with policymakers to advance the interests of the Commission. Public Representation: Represent the Commission to the public, governmental bodies, and voluntary organizations. Regularly report to the Commissioners on the Commission’s performance and activities, ensuring transparency and accountability. Financial Administration: Oversee the financial health of the Commission, including managing annual budgets, grant funds, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. Audit Preparation: Work with external auditors to prepare for the Commission’s annual Single Audit, ensuring proper financial documentation and compliance. Contract Execution: Oversee the execution of contracts and documents on behalf of the Commission, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Additional Responsibilities: As the Commission's needs evolve, the Executive Director will take on additional duties, adapting to organizational changes and challenges.
