Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes and systems to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. This is a key role in our organization, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about manufacturing and has a strong background in engineering.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and systems to meet production goals and quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.Analyze and troubleshoot production problems to optimize processes and reduce waste.Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including procedures, diagrams, and reports.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of defects.Identify and implement cost savings opportunities through process improvements.Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery of materials.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.Maintain accurate records of manufacturing data, including production schedules, inventory levels, and quality metrics.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, testing, and inspection.Proficient in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) and/or PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, such as SAP or Oracle.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations for process improvements.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.Knowledge of robotics and automation systems.Certification in a relevant field (e.g. Six Sigma Black Belt).Work Environment:The Manufacturing Engineer will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to machinery and equipment.The position requires regular walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).The ability to work in a clean room environment with minimal noise is required.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Collaborative work environment with a dynamic team.Flexible scheduling options.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
