Equity Research Analyst

Roberts Wealth Advisors is a registered investment advisor with approximately $350 million in AUM. We have a five member team that work out of our offices in Menlo Park, California and Park City, Utah, and the chosen candidate must be located or willing to relocate to the Salt Lake City/Park City area.
We are seeking an equity analyst who will work closely with the Director of Research (DR) on identifying and developing investment valuations, portfolio management, and creation of research and investment presentations. You will be directly involved with managing existing portfolio holdings, identifying new equity investments, and positioning the portfolio for future appreciation, with the ability to develop your own skills while working with the DR on certain projects.
This position is ideal for a recent college graduate or early-stage investment career and will be most applicable for candidates with a demonstrated interest in public equity research.
The Equity Analyst will:

Participate on our investment committee, with coverage responsibility for multiple economic sectors
· Manage a portion of the firm's 40-50 core equity holdings through thematic and valuation-based approaches

Lead and participate in daily morning meeting with economic and portfolio-relevant news
·
Collaborate with relationship managers to craft investment recommendations for new clients/transitions
·
Maintain both modelized and actual firm performance composites
·
Manage the security proxy voting process for the firm
·
Support the efforts of Roberts Wealth Advisors, its clients, and Team Members
Our Equity Analyst will possess the following attributes:
· Familiarity with core equity concepts and modeling processes (NPV, DCF, multiples, etc.)
· Possess a demonstrated interest in equity investing
·
Exemplify very high professional standards, honesty, and integrity
·
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated sound judgement in working with clients
·
A self-starter who takes initiative and is a progressive thinker
·
Works well on a team and can prioritize their own work, set objectives, and complete time-sensitive tasks
Education:
·
Bachelor’s Degree. Preferably in business, finance, or accounting, but other major considered
·
Designations as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or those progressing toward obtaining those designations is preferred.
