At this esteemed 50-bed Medical Center, the Operating Room Nurse Manager will lead a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing exceptional care. Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer (COO), the Operating Room Nurse Manager will oversee the clinical practice within the Perioperative Department. This role will be supported by a highly skilled team, including the PreOp/PACU Nurse Manager, a CNOR-certified Operating Room Nurse Manager, and the Nurse Supervisor for Ambulatory Surgery.
As the Operating Room Nurse Manager, they will oversee a comprehensive Perioperative Services department performing approximately 70 surgeries per month. Leading a team of 4 RNs, 3 surgical techs, and 1 central processing tech, the role involves supervising clinical and administrative duties across 4 Operating Room. While the Operating Room Nurse Manager can expect to primarily focus on general surgeries, you can expect to also oversee OBGYN, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedic surgeries.
This is an exciting role for a talented Nurse Leader. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will have the opportunity to mentor a very talented staff, fostering skills development and clinical competencies. This person will also learn the administrative aspects of leadership, participating in hospital committees, managing the department’s compliance programs, and promoting a collaborative working environment across the entire hospital.
