Purpose of Job This position is responsible for the production and development of quality radiographs, equipment maintenance and quality improvement/quality control according to established policies and procedures. May also perform lab functions as required. Job Functions Instructs patients regarding x-ray procedure. Prepares room, equipment and material as needed for patient procedures. Communicates with providers, patients and support staff as needed. Organizes and maintains x-ray supplies and inventory. Provides maintenance, QC and adjustments of radiology equipment. Instructs other medical personnel in proper radiological techniques and the maintenance of equipment. Maintains film filing system including reports and film retrieval. Maintains knowledge of current and new technology. Oversee compliance programs and represents clinic Radiology department during surveys/audits. May also perform lab duties as needed. Demonstrates room and equipmentcleaning process between patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
