Overview : DevOps Engineer

This position is based in Canada (excluding Quebec) or the United States.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with solid Linux System Administration skills to join our operations team.

Some of What You Will Do: Maintain, configure and monitor Linux systems using infrastructure as code principals in development, test and production environments Participate in an on-call rotation managing incidents and performing root cause analysis Maintain and refine existing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools Champion uptime, reliability, compliance and observability while working closely with engineering teams Provide product engineering feedback on features & functions based on your field experience. Work closely with Customer Support to handle escalations requiring engineering support and then help improve the product to prevent those issues from repeating.

Some of What You Will Need : Experience in Linux system administration Knowledge of Linux, CI/CD tools, Configuration Management tools (e.g. Nix, Salt), Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform) and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Microsoft) Proficiency in working on remote systems and on the Linux command line Ability to work independently with minimal direction as well as part of a team Ability to deliver on multiple, concurrent goals Highly flexible and adaptable to the rapidly changing business requirements of an early startup Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills

Bonus Experience : SaaS Startup Experience, preferably in cybersecurity Database Administration Understanding of Security and Compliance Frameworks (eg. SOC-2, ISO27001) Programming experience with Go Functional programming experience Experience with Nix and NixOS Experience in the security industry

Qualifications: 5+ years industry experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
