PRN / Days

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assists in preparing patient for designated procedure as requested by physician * Assists physician during endoscopy procedure * Accurately completes lab paperwork and handles patient specimens, per policy * Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to prepare the endoscopy suite according to requirements of patient, physician, and procedure, but not limited to assembling and providing properly functioning equipment, supplies and instruments * Follows manufacturer's instructions for use for all steps of cleaning, high level disinfection or sterilization for instruments and/or equipment * Following manufacturer's instructions and center's policy and procedure, appropriately cleans endoscopy suite between cases and daily terminal cleaning * Uses universal precautions * Responds to other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

* High school graduate * 1-3 years similar experience in an endoscopy setting * BLS / ACLS Certified, as applicable * Ability to make sound, reasonable decisions * Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptiveness to change * Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact * Highly organized with ability to concentrate on many detailed requests * Excellent communication skills * Ability to develop excellent working relationships with physicians and center staff * Maintains regular attendance
