Description

The Lead Server is responsible for managing the Front of the House in Food and Beverage. This position will work side by side with the back of the house team (Executive Chef) and F&B Manager to ensure all levels of service standards are met.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 2+ years of food service/management experience
  • ServSafe certified
  • A thorough understanding of casual dining
  • Possess supervisory skills
  • Must be dependable
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide a memorable guest experience
  • Must be team oriented
  • Oversight of the F&B Front of the House team (training, running shift, floor plans, logging and responding to all reservations
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager on event execution and be knowledgeable of all club event details
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and F&B Manager to ensure revenue goals and service standards are met during a la Carte service and Special Events
  • Oversight of Inventory (Controls, ordering goods and supplies, monthly counts)
  • Ensuring that all employees are properly trained with Safe Serve and Tips
  • Train incoming employees
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Provide prompt and efficient customer service
  • Accurately take guests food and/or drink orders and turns into kitchen, bar, etc.
  • Serve beverages and prepared meals to guests in an accurate and timely manner
  • Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests
  • Accurately handle all cash and/or credit cards for payment following all standard operating procedures
  • Keeps tables, dining room and workstation(s) sanitized and organized
  • Listen and respond to customer complains
  • Performs opening, clean-up and closing procedures as assigned by manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned supervisor or manager
