Exercise Physiologist

Under the direct supervision of the Medical Director of the Exercise Physiology Lab, the following duties in the Heart Center Cardio-Pulmonary Stress Lab for children and young adults include: Supervises and performs graded exercise stress tests, metabolic exercise tests and other related cardiac diagnostic procedures on all patients; performs oxygen titration with pulse oximetry at rest and during exercise; assists in setting up procedures, policies, protocols, and guidelines for the stress lab; assists in the purchase of equipment and maintenance contracts; checks and documents calibration of equipment function; participates in research, publishes in professional publications, and gives professional presentations; prepares exercise prescription and consultation for patients; sets, up, trains and teaches stress testing principals to new and existing staff members.
