As a CDL-A Local Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our services, contributing directly to our mission of enhancing customer satisfaction through timely deliveries. Operate a CDL-A truck to transport goods to various local destinations without overnight trips. Ensure timely delivery of freight as per dispatch instructions while adhering to all safety and traffic rules. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure that the vehicle is in good operating condition. Report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately to the fleet management team. Maintain accurate logbooks and comply with all DOT regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service during delivery, acting as a representative of System Freight, Inc. Handle documentation related to the freight, ensuring all deliveries are signed and accounted for. Proven ability to operate a CDL-A vehicle safely and efficiently. Strong geographic knowledge of the Northeastern US. Excellent time management skills to maintain schedule adherence. Good physical condition to handle the loading and unloading of freight when required. Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
