We are looking for an experienced Lean Manufacturing Process Engineer professional who will have the following responsibilities. Next 2 years Assist in overseeing key aspects of our “One Roof” building project from start to finish. Working in collaboration with the Facility Engineering Manager and Sr. Production Manager. Assist in machine placement and manufacturing process layout phase of the construction project. Manage constraints and develop contingencies to address risks that are anticipated and those that are unexpected. Transition Manufacturing operations from existing facility to New Operational campus, while still meeting all customer requirements. Our Building and Transition Project is estimated to take 2 years to complete. Upon conclusion, this individual will transition into solely a Lean Process Engineer role. This individual will have the transformational opportunity to create a Lean Platform and Culture in a Global Business. This is a unique opportunity charged with creating a new manufacturing facility, and this assignment provides an excellent foundation to continue to optimize our operations into the future. Scope Manage relationships with key stakeholders, create benchmarks for success and deliverables (including managing budgets) and plan work assignments that meet deadlines requirements while considering changes in budget or scope during the execution of the contract. Once transition of relocating our current manufacturing equipment to the new location, The Lean Process Engineer will support the manufacturing team in installation and start-up of these production assets. Once the new Campus is fully operational, this individual will design and build a Lean culture, expanding Lean from Operations to all aspects of the business. Responsibilities include: Process Analysis: Assessing existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Lean Methodologies Implementation: Applying Lean principles such as 5S, value stream mapping, kanban, and continuous improvement to streamline operations and eliminate waste. Workflow Optimization: Designing and implementing efficient workflow layouts to minimize unnecessary movement of materials and personnel, reducing lead times and enhancing productivity. Standardization: Developing and implementing standardized work procedures to ensure consistency and quality across manufacturing processes. Quality Assurance: Collaborating with quality control teams to identify and address defects, ensuring that products meet or exceed quality standards. Cost Reduction: Identifying opportunities to reduce production costs through process optimization, waste reduction, and resource efficiency improvements. Training and Education: Providing training and guidance to production staff on Lean principles, tools, and methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Data Analysis: Utilizing data analytics tools to gather and analyze performance metrics, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to improve process efficiency. Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance to implement process improvements and achieve organizational goals. Continuous Improvement: Leading and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to drive ongoing enhancements in manufacturing processes, productivity, and quality. Project Management: Planning and executing process improvement projects, setting timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring progress to ensure successful implementation of Lean initiatives. Requirements and skills 3-5 years of Lean Manufacturing experience In-depth understanding of Lean methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Just-In-Time (JIT), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Continuous Improvement (CI). Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business needs, and evolving manufacturing technologies while maintaining focus on Lean principles.
