Responsibilities for this Speech Language Pathologist opportunity include, but are not limited to: * Conduct comprehensive bedside swallow evaluations for patients at risk of dysphagia * Assess oral motor function, swallow reflexes, and coordination to determine the safest diet consistency and feeding strategies * Develop and implement individualized dysphagia treatment plans based on assessment findings * Perform cognitive assessments to evaluate memory, attention, executive function, and other cognitive domains * Design and implement cognitive communication interventions to address deficits identified in the cognitive assessment * Conduct comprehensive aphasia evaluations to assess language comprehension, expression, reading, and writing abilities * Develop and implement targeted aphasia treatment plans to improve communication skills * Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures related to speech-language pathology services JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST: * Successful completion of National Certification Examination * Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program * 2 years of verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years * Active SLP license in TX * BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross * Must be eligible to work in the United States CareerStaff is proud to be a six-time Great Place to Work™ and Diversity for Social Impact™ certified source of healthcare careers.
