We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Tax Senior Accountant . The Tax Senior is responsible for the preparation of complex tax compliance and consulting engagements. They are knowledgeable in a wide range of accounting services and help lead Staff on basic engagements and often perform a detailed first review on projects.

Responsibilities:

Accurately prepares complex S-Corporation, C-Corporation, partnership, multistate and individual tax returns. Efficiently reviews tax returns from Staff as a first reviewer. Prepares and reviews income tax projections and estimate calculations for clients. Performs research and writes technical memorandum in a readable format. Researches and prepares work papers for various book to tax differences. Develops effective working relationships with clients and firm associates. Can identify potential tax issues during planning of engagement. Confidently responds to federal and state notices. Mentors Staff and Interns on return review notes Maintains open communication with engagement management regarding the progress of completion on projects. Manages time effectively by completing projects within communicated budget/deadlines. Streamline procedures and offer recommendations on how the tax filing process can run more efficiently. Actively participates in training and developmental opportunities. Supports Staff and Interns in professional development.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree required. Master’s preferred. Active CPA or within 3 months of completion. Minimum 1 prior year senior level tax experience - including first review, work paper research and mentoring staff and interns. Proficiency with complex tax returns. Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements is required. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail, proven time management and organizational skills. Desire to learn to learn and meet new challenges. Commitment to teamwork
