Job Purpose:
The Electrician will perform electrical work and preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems, motors, pumps, and instrumentation; and other miscellaneous electrically powered equipment. Other duties as assigned.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Perform a variety of skilled tasks in the preventative maintenance, repair, installation, and calibration of electrical equipment.
- Work closely with outside vendor service technicians, engineers, and electricians in the repair and installation of new/existing equipment
- Maintain electrical transformers, and medium voltage (208-480 volts) distribution and control systems.
- Diagnose and detect faults in electronic and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using blueprints, schematics, multimeter and other specialty tools.
- Fabricate various panels, control systems, network cables and conduit runs.
- Operate a variety of test instruments; read and prepare wiring diagrams.
- Formulate, implement, and perform preventative/predictive maintenance programs and repairs using sound judgement and best known practices
- Observe all appropriate safety precautions as required, including OSHA General Industry Safety Orders, National Electric Code, National Fire Protection Association, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and local safety policies.
- High School Diploma or GED
- You must have at minimum a current Journeyman License.
- 3-5 years related work experience in a commercial/industrial setting.
