Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer will be chiefly responsible for supporting organic peroxide production by providing maintenance support through engineering changes and reliability engineering.

In your future role as Maintenance Engineer you will

  • Recommend and implement changes to mechanical equipment to improve operability, reduce downtime and increase throughput.
  • Help develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Develop equipment specifications.
  • Develop projects to upgrade existing equipment and processes, and justify expenditures to the plant and group management.
  • Provide typical maintenance work would be investigating equipment failures, sizing pumps, upgrading equipment, increasing equipment reliability and installing new equipment.
  • Understand & help implement the site's operating policy, and HSSE goals & objectives.
  • Support & participate in on-going HSSE improvement activities & committees.
  • Understand & implement any parts of the Environmental Compliance Plan & Waste Management Plan that apply to are of responsibility
  • Participate in the site's on-going Pollution Prevention Process
  • Understand & help implement the site's Quality Policy, quality goals & objectives, and the Quality Improvement Process (MTQ).
  • Be sure employees under supervision, if applicable, are aware of & are adequately trained in quality procedures.
We believe you bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
  • At least 3 to 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing plant environment (8+ years preferred, chemical plant experience preferred)
Great if you have
  • Electrical & instrumentation experience
