Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Engineer with a strong background in optics to join our dynamic team. As an Application Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and driving the adoption of our optical products across various industries. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Support Sales team, and build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and challenges. Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and service to customers. Demonstrate GouMax equipment at customer premises and trade shows. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to optical products, both remotely and on-site as needed. Create technical documentation, application notes, and user guides to support customers in the effective use of optical products. Verify and test software and products before shipping to customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Strong understanding of products, optical principles and technologies, including test software. Hands-on experience with optical testing and characterization techniques. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Familiar with software coding by C++ and LabVIEW. Verilog is a plus.
