This is a REMOTE role, MUST reside in the eastern time zone.

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction and execution of our software projects. You will lead a team of software engineers, guiding them through the development lifecycle while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. Your expertise in software architecture, development methodologies, and team leadership will be essential in shaping our products and achieving our business goals.

Experience needed: 6+ years dev experience Experience leading teams of developers (10 -15 devs) across multiple projects (2 - 3 projects) simultaneously Experience conducting code reviews Experience creating Enterprise grade designs across multiple applications and service boundaries

Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers. Lead by example through hands-on involvement in software development, code reviews, and technical discussions. Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies within the team.

SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define software requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design robust, scalable, and maintainable software architectures that align with business objectives and future scalability needs. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to support development efforts.

DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION: Lead the implementation of complex software features and modules, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance requirements, and project timelines. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and techniques. Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.

TEAM COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION: Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, open communication, and cross-functional collaboration. Coordinate with other engineering teams, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of integrated software solutions. Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies effectively to management and stakeholders.

QUALITY ASSURANCE AND TESTING: Collaborate with QA engineers to define testing strategies, automated test suites, and quality metrics. Ensure thorough testing of software components, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to maintain product quality and reliability.

Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience with Transportation, LTL preferred 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on leading software engineering teams. Proficiency in modern programming languages such as PL/SQL, .NET CORE, MVC, WCF Services Expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and system integration principles. Strong understanding of agile methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and DevOps practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentorship, coaching, and team building. Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on schedule and within budget.
