JOB SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety at our ABCorp Boston facility. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with the Engineering manager and team in a dynamic environment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required: Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs. This will primarily be through process efficiency improvements and waste reduction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Implement continuous improvement initiatives. Investigate and troubleshoot process problems. Collect data required to monitor process performance and make improvements and/or modifications. Read and interpret schematics and equipment manuals to direct required maintenance and service. Communicate with operations management team and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance repairs and improvements. Comply with and enforce company safety policies. Develop and improve equipment validation procedures including calibration and qualification. Become Expert Level Trainer on all machines in assigned area and be responsible for the level of knowledge of Shift technicians. Provide hands-on support to maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situations. Key member of the new equipment launch team, expected to become the resident expert of those machines/ Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Extensive technical skills. Adept with

spreadsheet/database

use for data analysis. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow. Flexibility and willingness to work within frequently changing priorities. Must be able to effectively manage time by organizing and planning work. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment. Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work extended hours as needed. Strong attention to detail. Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field
