This is a full-time, exempt position.

The Transportation/Logistics candidates will be challenged to develop dedicated solutions and achieve timely results in a dynamic transportation environment. This role will be part of the Carb Solutions Co-Products team and be responsible for mill and commercial communication throughout the ADM network. As directly related to Mill run rates, this role will be responsible for alignment of truck scheduling and management; FOB and CIF.

Key components of Transportation Management include:
  1. Drive process improvement with root cause analysis.
  2. Build and execute daily transportation plans
  3. Communicate with partner carriers to implement ADM transportation strategy.
  4. Discover and execute on opportunities for arbitrage.
  5. Understand the impact of ADM product and commodity market conditions on the ADM supply chain.
  6. Create and manage key performance indicators.
  7. Seek improved velocity while leveraging key stakeholders to achieve reduced cost.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree preferred
  2. Experience in transportation & logistics required
  3. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and successfully work in a fast paced environment
  4. Understand ADM Business needs - being able to see the "big picture"
  5. Implement and execute business plans and strategies
  6. Confidence to promote the Transportation vision/philosophies
  7. Self-motivated
  8. Ability to assess situations, making the best economic decisions
  9. Problem solve relentlessly

  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  12. This position requires working at a desk both on a telephone and at a computer for prolonged periods of time
  13. Computer Competence: Email, Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables, IBM systems & other web based systems will be used daily
