Job Description: Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk and opportunity assessments, and supportability and effectiveness analyses. Support the identification, development and improvement of system operation and maintenance processes/products. Identify and implement new or improved tools and processes to increase team efficiency. Applies knowledge from various disciplines to architect and design systems; includes neuroscience, behavioral science, engineering (systems, electrical, mechanical), computer science (distributed computing/programming), philosophy/phenomenology, physics, and mathematics. Uses emerging verification and validation approaches in addition to the traditional ones to test 1) multi-agent systems employing algorithms that produce ever-changing outcomes related to detection and decision, pattern recognition, and prediction, and 2) systems requirements definition for a new class of systems. Apply systems engineering processes and procedures to develop and maintain systems that meet customer needs; ensuring compliance with applicable directives, policies, and standards/best practices. Create, review, and maintain critical system documentation, such as requirements documents, design documents, interface description documents, test plans, user manuals & procedures and analysis reports. Requirements management, including decomposition, allocation, traceability, certification. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solution that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Support Modeling and Simulation, architecture, CONOPS activities on an as needed basis Required Education: Minimum of 14 years of engineering experience with a bachelor's in STEM field; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD. Required Skills: Comfortable with loosely-defined problems, have a demonstrated ability to think creatively, and draw upon a variety of sources for ideas and solutions Experience with Model-based systems engineering Familiarity with AI/ML models and techniques Desired Skills: MS in STEM field
