Job Overview: Full time position focused on risk and safety assessment workshops within BV Malaysia and SEA region. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate risk and safety assessment workshops. Conduct formal safety assessment (FSA) studies, including QRA, FERA, BRA, EERA, ALARP Study, COMAH/HSE Case Studies, PHA/Bow-tie Analysis, and various dispersion analyses. Prepare and review safety instrumented function (SIF) summaries based on PHA/LOPA SIL study results. Supervise and prepare safety cases and/or safety reports. Review safety studies reports prepared by senior consultants and ensure compliance with BV Standards. Perform fire protection and safety studies for various project stages. Lead and coordinate project activities and deliverables. Prepare technical proposals for risk and safety assessment studies. Develop quality deliverables as per project specifications. Other Responsibilities: Assist in business development by preparing proposals and presentations. Represent Bureau Veritas at exhibitions and committees. Provide internal training to enhance consultants' knowledge and skills. Support and supervise task delegation to the team. Attend to client comments during project execution. Develop strong working relationships with clients. Attend client meetings to deliver effective technical solutions. Perform scope screening at the initiation of bidding activities. Job Requirements: Degree in Chemical Engineering, preferably a Master's in Safety Engineering. Certification as a Functional Safety Engineer/Professional is an advantage. Chartered Engineer or professional accreditation preferred. Minimum 3 years of consultancy experience in a similar position. At least 20 years of working experience in risk and safety studies in oil and gas or petrochemical industries. Experience with major operators is highly valued. Experience in renewable energy and sustainability projects is a plus. Familiarity with international standards and local regulations. Experience in QRA pipeline is beneficial. Proficiency in 3D software is highly valued. Critical Skills & Personal Attributes: Proven experience in a Risk & Safety Engineering role. Ability to facilitate various Technical Safety Reviews. Experience in developing AI PSM roadmap methodologies. Strong ethics and integrity. Leadership skills in guiding a team of consultants. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Strong collaboration skills and effective client interfacing. Competent report writing and database development skills.
