Opportunity for an in-house Speech Language Pathologist to join the rehab department.

Responsibilities Include:

· Evaluate Residents conditions for swallowing and/or cognitive deficits

· Help Residents in their goals to improve Cognition and/or Swallowing

· Education for Residents and Caregivers

· Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance

· Maintain Resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential

· Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

· Contributes to team effort and interdisciplinary approach

· Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals

· Perform Daily Documentation and Billing

Requirements and skills

· Proven working experience as an SLP

· Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of Speech Therapy

· Hands-on experience with computer programs

· Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities

· Professional behavior

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills

· Valid license to practice as Speech Language Pathologist
