Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Health Informatics, provides information systems support for Electronic Medical Record (EMR)-using revenue cycle stakeholders including functions such as registration, insurance verification, service authorization, coding, claim generation, cash posting, and data exports to the G/L. This position will work collaboratively with the Finance, Patient Financial Services, Practice Management, Patient Access Services, Health Information Management, revenue generating departments, and various other stakeholders to determine strategies, continuous process improvement approaches, and prioritization of EMR system and workflow related requirements and the success of projects from concept to completion. Responsible for the review, education, maintenance, reporting, and improvement for stakeholders in the above noted departments. QUALIFICATIONS 1. 2-5 years of experience supporting Registration, Finance, and Revenue Cycle Services systems in I/P acute care environment 2. Assist in the management of a project team and create/update project plans utilizing project planning software. 3. Demonstrated experience performing needs and workflow analysis yielding improved KPI. 4. Strong verbal and written communications skills 5. Ability to work independently and prioritize, as well as the ability to work as a team player or provide leadership to a group/team. 6. Comfortable communicating to and working with all levels of users as well as middle and senior level management. 7. Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and completely. 8. Exceptional customer service and relationship management orientation. 9. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities 10. Strong MS-Office skills and ability to create and understand complex Excel spreadsheets and authoring of PowerPoint presentations. 11. Knowledge of Meditech Expanse EHR system preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor’s Degree required in healthcare, business administration, or related field. 2. Vendor certification in Revenue Cycle, or HFMA/equivalent certification preferred.
