PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for the oversight of Continental Global Material Handling's IT Systems including ERP applications and IT Infrastructure.This would include deciding which projects and tasks the IT Manager executes directly and which ones are assigned to their direct report(s).An essential competency of this role is Customer Service and that starts with partnering with the business to understand their issues and needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, the Employee Owner will:
  • Provide oversight of projects, enhancement requests and support activities that affect the ERP Applications
  • Direct, prioritize and evaluate workload of IT personnel and IT service providers.
  • Partner with overall Precision, Inc. Information Technology team for IT Infrastructure and IT Security support
  • Collaborate regularly with the Continental Business team to triage technical issues and/or enhancement requests
  • Analyze business needs presented by internal customers and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Provide leadership, tactical planning and scope analysis for execution of projects by applying technical information systems knowledge to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the technical requirements for projects directly responsible for and for projects of those reporting to the IT Manager.
  • Plan and conduct end-user training.
  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job and the IT field.
  • Responsible for Continental's IT budget
  • Develop and mentor all direct report(s)
  • Demonstrate regular, consistent attendance.
  • Up to 10% travel is required.

  • Previous experience implementing and/or troubleshooting ERP systems
  • Knowledge and experience of relational database concepts and/or SQL
  • Ability to troubleshoot desktop, network and other hardware issues as needed.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented, thorough, organized, with the ability to manage projects on time and within budget.
  • Self-starter, motivated, critical thinker, solid work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot, setup, and configure software to meet business specifications.
  • Required to interpret, clarify, or convey highly complex technical information to non-technical team members
  • Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the company.
  • Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships to encourage openness with customers and peers.
EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE - COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS) or similar field from a four-year college or university and
  • Five years related experience and/or training.
TRAINING - CERTIFICATIONS - LICENSES
  • ERP Systems (Infor LN CloudSuite experience preferred)
  • Relational Database concepts (SQL experience preferred)
  • IT Infrastructure (Active Directory, Server and Network experience preferred)
  • Project Management training and experience preferred.
