Immediate opening and urgently hiringA HYBRID Position: In office and at homeSalary: $120K plus Outstanding BenefitsRelocation Assistance is offered.SUMMARY:Apply knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICDs, sustainment, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems.Support Aircraft Information Management Systems (AIMS) requirements/ testing/ certification and spectrum management requirements/ testing/ certification.Use knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations to define requirements, complete CNS/ATM compliance matrices, and support testing and certification of aircraft and supporting systems.Support and assist systems analysis to include, but not be limited to, avionics system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessment.Attend all technical reviews and provide technical advice on the path forward to installation of the new hardware and software into the system.Assist in reviewing and performing assessments on program specific databases.Demonstrate knowledge in the area of controls and displays, data bus, and data recording development, test, sustainment and operations covering airborne vehicles' controls and displays subsystems (including but not limited to cockpit displays and aerial refueling operator station displays) to include performance, integrity, and FAA and DoD airworthiness/certification.Review technical documents, determining sufficiency for demonstrating compliance with spec and airworthiness, summarizing findings, recommended changes, and communicating all results to program offices.Support technical interchange meetings with regards to updates/upgrades in area of controls and displays, data buses (including but not limited to MIL-STD-1553B and ARINC-429), and data recording equipment.Support the avionics team in development of requirements for future upgrades to associated equipment.Apply knowledge in reviewing associated equipment airworthiness reports, in accordance with AFPD 62-6 USAF Airworthiness requirements.Have an understanding of applying MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Certification Criteria, to aircraft systems and subsystems.Assist in translating user requirements into weapons system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test and evaluate weapons systems, subsystems and equipment for eventual fielding and deployment.Assist in performing material solution analyses leading up to design reviews.Assist in translating user requirements into system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment.REQUIREMENTS:BA/BS degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline and ten (10) years of functional area experience, 3 of which must be in the DoD,Knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, and verification methodsIndependently demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, and applications for access to the world wide web including Microsoft Internet Explorer.US Citizenship Required; Ability to obtain a favorable Special Agent Check (SAC) prior to your start date with the final clearance upon the completion of the government's process.Must be able to qualify for a DoD Clearance.Preferred Experience:Knowledge of software engineering and management within avionics systems including embedded software and desktop applications.Knowledge of the FAA and DoD airworthiness/certification processes outlined in USAF Airworthiness Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 62-6, Air Force Instruction (AFI) 62-601v, and Military Handbook, MIL-HDBK-516.CTR Group has been a leader in its industry for over 30 years and is rated highly on Google, Indeed and Facebook for being a great company to work for.
