Job Summary:The Plant Controller is responsible for the operations of the local finance department, this includes, but is not limited to, reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, contract execution and compliance, and cash flow management. The Plant Controller will work independently and troubleshoot problems.The Plant Controller will provide financial analysis via various methods. These methods include, but are not limited to, inventory and BOM oversight, cost and pricing review, and internal audits. Timely and accurate reporting is a key component of this position as well as the ability to accumulate, examine, and manage cost data.Knowledge | Experience | Skills:•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.•Minimum of 3 years of experience in a plant controller or similar role.•Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger and accounting reconciliation activities, with proven ability and experience in month end closing.•Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.•Possess a solid understanding of all financial and operating aspects/measurements of the manufacturing areas of responsibility strongly preferred.•Budgeting Experience.•Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with a team of professionals inside and outside of accounting/finance.•Strong leader with an ability to develop others on the team; Proactive, hands-on, results oriented style.•Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy.•Strong decision making and problem-solving skills with practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.•Solid mathematical aptitude and good analysis and computer skills, with ability to work independently.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:•Maintains fixed asset register and processes related journal entries; prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.•Responsible for the plant Operational finance and accounting team.•Implements and monitors the month, quarter, and year-end closeout accounting schedules.•Assists Director of Operations and CFO with plant-based projects and provides reporting support.•Analyzes plant labor, scrap, operational spending, and inventory transactions for optimal manufacturing levels.•Prepares all appropriate general ledger entries and monthly reconciliations.•Internal/external audit requirement, ensuring internal controls are established and followed.•Capital project preparation, project accounting, post project follow-up and review.•Assists in month end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, and analyzes inventory valuation and inventory roll forward.•Preparation of daily/weekly/monthly plant performance reports.•Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate bills of material.•Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate inventory part identification numbers.•Ensures that proper pricing and costs are maintained.•Maintains accurate inventory records at the plant storage facilities as well as third party warehouses.•Accurate and timely financial analysis and financial reporting (internal and external).•Identifies and implements accounting practices utilizing the latest technology that is available.•Facilitates and develops budgets and financial forecasts.•Inventory Control, including obsolescence monitoring & inventory turn analysis.Technimark is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
