Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Technical Delivery Manager to join our team located in Los Angeles/OC/San Diego, CA. The technical delivery manager will have oversight responsibility for the day-to-day management of an engagement, including all aspects related to managing our consulting team, resulting in a successful delivery and a satisfied, reference-able client. We are looking for our delivery managers to be technically minded. They are not expected to code or contribute to a technical solution. However, they are expected to understand technology projects, know the fundamentals of Agile development, and understand at a high-level what are the technical goals of their project which will drive business results for the client. They are expected to foster great relationships with clients. They are also expected to lead our vibrant SoCal team and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the requirements, solutions design, scope planning, task breakdown and estimation, code development, operational excellence, production support, regular reporting, documentation and delivery of timely solutions.
  • Engages with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions
  • Forecast and manage team budget, promote innovation and development ideas while working on multiple concurrent projects
  • Oversee, coach and develop the formation of scrum teams by ensuring team members are allocated appropriate based on skills, experience and development needs.
  • Performs verbal and written communication with Customer in a polished and professional manner
  • Ensure coding best practices, compliance to Software Development Process, which includes software design, documented code, code reviews, unit tests and adherence to secure coding standards.
  • Support and actively participates with in the internal Business Unit initiatives
  • Participate and comment in review sessions both with internal teams and customers (walkthroughs, demos and coding reviews)
  • Stay abreast with latest technology trends, showcasing capabilities
  • Ensure continuous learning and growth of team's technical skills set
Qualifications
  • 5+ years as Software Development or Delivery Manager. Proven track record of leadership roles delivering support solutions
  • Leading technical, cloud and software projects, experience and knowledge to support design review, prioritization, issue resolution, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience leading agile teams.
  • Proficient in either cloud platforms, from hands-on coding to project planning and leading a team to increase customer impact by providing innovative, quality software and operational support with speedy delivery.
  • Experience leading technical teams, working through complex requirements, and offering relevant, timely technical solutions.
  • Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
Preferred Skills:
  • 5 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency
  • Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents and statements of work
  • Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members
  • Engages with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate support model to meet business needs.
  • Experience working with a globally distributed team

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $73,008 to $170,640. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
