The Service Manager is responsible for managing the service department and the hiring, on-boarding and supervision of the field service technicians. This position is the main point-of-contact for customer service-related inquiries, requests, and information.

**Duties and responsibilities**

* Provide quality service to all customers.

* Ensure timely, consistent delivery of services and products purchased by customers.

* Develop, deploy, and oversee training program for service technicians as needed.

* Answer customer emails and phone calls in a timely manner. Provide efficient resolutions to their issues.

* Develop written repair proposals as requested as requested by customers and provide quotes for repairs found during inspections.

* Create required documentation and information job files and coordinate with office staff to maintain good record keeping of all service jobs.

* Visit customers on location to evaluate potential service repairs, inspections, and new equipment in order to develop a quote.

* See that all internal procedures are followed for executing, invoicing and closing jobs.

* Review performance of jobs to determine accuracy of estimating and quoting.

* Monitor levels of overtime hours as well as indirect labor.

* Provide performance reviews of technicians according to company policy.

* Assist field technicians as needed.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

This position is responsible for the field service technicians.

**Qualifications**

Qualifications include:

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in service technician or related field.

* Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

* Ability to lead others and effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.

* Effective written and verbal communication skills required.

* Effective computer skills required.

**Working conditions**

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, although some field and/or shop work may be required periodically.

**Physical requirements**

* Occasional field work when required to support field technicians working with hand and power tools as necessary. May also involve working at heights and some heavy lifting.
