*Summary: *

As a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting safe human spaceflight operations. You will apply your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to design, develop, and manage tooling and equipment essential for vehicle production, launch systems, and other test and operational groups.

*Key Responsibilities:*

· Design and manage tooling through development and build life cycle to support production.

· Perform analysis (Hand Calculations & FEA) to support tooling design.

· Create Statement of Works (SOW) for tooling to be designed and built by external vendors.

· Act as the responsible Engineer for individual tooling projects.

· Coordinate directly with manufacturing, operations, and product development personnel to understand operational requirements and develop GSE to meet those requirements.

· Design Concept CAD models using PTC Creo.

· Review and approve drawings for drawing standards and manufacturability.

· Develop and approve design specifications, performance specifications, fabrication specifications, acceptance test procedures, and maintenance plans for GSE development.

· Manage external design and fabrication partners through the complete project lifecycle.

· Represent GSE considerations in manufacturing, operational, and program technical reviews.

· Oversee equipment fabrication, assembly, and installation.

· Actively participate in functional checkouts and commissioning of equipment.

· Maintain and report on activity schedule, budget, and technical status.

· Participate in continuous training and skills development.

· Create and present technical documentation that clearly conveys design intent and adherence to standards, requirements, and specifications.

*Qualifications:*

· Passion for the mission of enabling millions of people to live and work in space.

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, structural, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or related field.

· Experience with design and integration of mechanical systems, electrical systems/components, control systems, support frames/structures, and/or lifting fixtures.

· Experience in the design of GSE for production, manufacturing, and testing of launch vehicles and support systems.

· Proven ability to drive complex projects to completion.

· Proficiency in CAD modeling and drawings using PTC Creo.

· Experience with revision control and data configuration in Windchill.

· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.

· Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to optimizing processes.

· Hand calculations of structural and mechanical components.

*Desired Qualifications:*

· Experience with FEA analysis and hand calculations of structural and mechanical components.

· Experience working on aerospace development programs, production lines, or field operations.

· Familiarity with industry code standards.

· Hands-on fabrication, assembly, or maintenance experience.

· Experience with multiple CAD packages such as Catia, SolidWorks, etc.

· Extremely customer-focused with strong communication skills.

*Compensation:*

The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
