Overview:

The Turn Cafe at Crosswater Golf course is hiring a Cafe Attendant The Turn Caf offers casual snacks and made-to-order meals to fuel your round. Don't forget to try our favorite local craft beers, mixed beverages, cider, and Oregon winesThe Caf Attendant is responsible for performing general cashier and serving duties in the resort cafes. They responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned outlets. The Caf Attendant will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.

The Caf Attendant will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Caf Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice

Responsibilities:
  • Takes guests orders using POS system
  • Receives proper and accurate payment from guests
  • Distributes appropriate change
  • Accurately reports tips and hours each shift using proper documents
  • Adheres to OLCC and Sunriver Resort policies and procedures
  • Ensures bookkeeping policies and procedures are followed daily
  • Assists chefs/cooks with food preparation
  • Prepares specialty drinks
  • Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift and end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate change
  • Serves guests food and beverages tableside
  • Wipes down tables and ensures cleanliness of caf
  • Informs and promotes guests of daily specials
  • Checks guests identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Removes dishes, glasses, silverware or other item from tables and countertops and takes them to the kitchen for proper sanitation
  • Familiarizes him/herself with menu
  • Offers creative selling of products to guests
  • Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as needed
  • Explains how various menu items are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredients
  • Takes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guest
  • Provides general resort information for guests
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events
  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
  • Restocks grab and go stations as necessary
  • Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
  • Ensures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guests
Qualifications:
  • High school education required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • At least six months food & beverage experience preferred
  • At least one year customer service experience preferred
  • At least six months POS system experience preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid OLCC card
  • Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid Oregon Food Handlers permit
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 30 lbs
  • Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
