Part Time Veterinarian (Sign-On Bonus) - Long Island & Surrounding Area Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare provides a rewarding in?home veterinarian role focused on compassionate end?of?life care in the Greater Long Island area. Overview Join our team to provide hospice and euthanasia services directly in pet families homes. You will have flexible, self?managed scheduling with minimal administrative duties. Key Benefits Average 34 appointments per day Self?managed scheduling with 25 days per week options (most between 9?am and 5?pm) Freedom of a mobile practice; no clinic ties Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship Work?life balance and schedule flexibility Enjoy gratitude and appreciation from families Team building and retreat activities Responsibilities Provide in?home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets. Guide families in end?of?life decision making. Serve as an extension of local veterinary clinics. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) Minimum 1 year of practicing experience. Valid drivers license. Physical ability to lift up to 50?lbs unassisted and 100?lbs assisted. Capability to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently during the workday.
