Responsible for the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of capital assets including construction-in-progress accounts in the general ledger, maintaining fixed assets records in the asset management system, annual physical inventory of tangible equipment asset, updating the Finance Division standard operating procedures for capital assets. Responsible for grant accounting by preparing grant reconciliation schedules, grant status report, reconciling amounts on the general ledger to amounts recorded on the Schedule of Federal and State Financial Assistance (SEFA). Prepare and review monthly GL account reconciliations and quarterly variance analysis of financial statements. Assist in the preparation of the Port's annual financial report, including note disclosures and required supplementary information. Review sales tax and surtax calculations, fuel reports, water tax returns, debt service funding requests, and bond proceeds reimbursements. Supervise staff preparation of payment vouchers, travel expense reports, capital construction contracts, and research accounts payable related issues. Review the account coding for requisitions of vendor invoice payments for accuracy. Review, reconcile and monitor revenues and expenses and compare with budgeted amounts. Perform related work as assigned.
