Job Title: Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our production processes. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing production schedules, resources, and workflows to ensure efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven track record of success in manufacturing or production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling

  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and timelines to meet customer demand and production targets.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to forecast production requirements and ensure adequate inventory levels.

Resource Allocation and Management

  • Allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor resource utilization and capacity constraints, adjusting as necessary to meet production goals.

Quality Assurance and Process Improvement

  • Implement quality control measures and standards to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization through lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all production activities.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices among production team members.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and supervise production teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance, morale, and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous learning within the production department.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to track performance, identify trends, and address issues proactively.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on production status, productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics for management review.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Operations Management, or related field required; masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management or manufacturing leadership roles, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of production processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Proven track record of successful production planning, scheduling, and optimization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions under pressure, and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and production scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, FDA).
