Every Special Child Is seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist OT for School Year 2024-25 to join our team in Oxnard, CA. We have the following requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to determine their occupational therapy needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on Kids' goals and needs
  • Help Kids improve their ability to perform daily activities, such as dressing, eating, and bathing
  • Teach students how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence
  • Provide guidance and support to students' families and caregivers
  • Monitor Kids' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as Special Education Teachers, School Nurses, LVNs, Teacher Aide, and Speech Therapists, to ensure comprehensive childcare.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in occupational therapy
  • Active license as an occupational therapist in California
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and intervention strategies
  • Strong assessment and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and patients
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working with patients in a School setting
