Automotive Receptionist Qualifications

Automotive Receptionist Primary Responsibilities
  • Greets customers as they enter the dealership and accompany the to the a appropriate department for a warm handoff.
  • Answers phone calls, directing customers to the correct department in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that the customers are connected promptly and not left on hold for extended periods.
  • Listen empathetically to customer concerns and direct them to the appropriate department manager
  • Build rapport with team members in other departments to facilitate smooth communication and transfers.
  • Scan documents for electronic storage and maintain organized records.
  • Refresh waiting areas, attend to coffee bar, and restock items as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with cashier duties as needed, including processing payments, applying discounts, and balancing transactions at the end of the day.
  • Support inventory management by stocking cars in the internal computer system, creating tags, assembling packets, and processing dealer trade paperwork.
Automotive Receptionist Requirements
  • Must be able to work a full time schedule of Monday - Thursday 12pm-9pm and alternating Friday & Saturday 9a-6p
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • Proficiency with computers, calculators, copiers, scanners, and other standard office equipment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and escort clients to various departments
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening
