Our Senior Systems Engineer will apply knowledge of technical principles and Edwards systems/procedures to optimize digital systems and manufacturing processes. By focusing on our digital transformation efforts, the Senior Systems Engineer will work towards the Edwards vision of an Industry 4.0 culture in our manufacturing processes.
How you will make an impact:
Support the efforts to digitize the manufacturing process across Edwards facilities through cross functional project work, focusing on digital systems
Partner closely with the new product introduction teams to strategically implement various digital tools to improve our manufacturing processes (ERP, MES, PLM, Asset Management, SCADA, etc.)
Analyze and resolve complex Manufacturing and Compliance issues (e.g., CAPA, non-conformances, audit observations)
Lead and personally execute transformation projects across the organization generating tangible business results
Champion new business requirements through the software development process
Work seamlessly with cross functional team members within and across other business units
Train various levels of the organization on function and use of digital systems
Be a leader in influencing change by implementing process improvement projects that impact multiple functional areas, all while instilling a digital culture at all levels of the organization
Develop training and documentation materials (e.g., work instructions) to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processes
Other incremental duties assigned by leadership

What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 4 years of related experience OR
Master's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field with 3 years of related experience OR
Ph.D. in Engineering or Scientific field with 2 years of related experience
Experience with SCADA development
Experience with either PLC or MES development
What else we look for (Preferred):
Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite including MS Project
Experience with SQL
Experience with manufacturing software such as ERP, MES, PLM systems (System use and software implementation)
Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAP Business Objects)
Experience with manufacturing processes
Strict attention to detail
Lean Six Sigma Black belt or Green belt
Conceptual knowledge of other functions that provide regular inputs into manufacturing (i.e. Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations) and how they interact with one another
Financial acumen to derive business cases and value realization
Strong documentation, communication (e.g., written and verbal) and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills
Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Good leadership skills and ability to influence change
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects
Experience in driving results through a matrixed organization
Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California, the base pay range for this position is $103,000 to $146,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience). Applications will be accepted while this position is posted on our Careers website. v
