Description:
You will be the Backshop Operations Lead, Lead Technician Level 4 for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Backshop Team. Our team is responsible for Backshop support to for the build, repair and delivery of various aircraft to our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Backshop Operations Lead, Lead Technician Level 4 you will be responsible for providing status of work documents and work accomplished in their work area. The candidate will be the intermediary between the backshop technicians and backshop supervision while assisting other mechanics with day-to-day activities.
The Backshop Operations Lead, Lead Technician Level 4 will also need to be knowledgeable in backshop operations and maintenance to include:
Machinist
Welding/Fabrication
Sheet Metal Fabrication
The candidate will be required to:
Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft.
Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive movements and work overhead.
Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
Properly use, handle and dispose of hazardous materials, and toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures
Mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform job tasks. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration.

Basic Qualifications:
10 years experience relative to Backshop Manufacturing to include Machinist operations, Hydraulics, Sheet Metal with at least 2 years of experience leading.
Desired Skills:
FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant License
Ability to problem solve.
Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead a team to meet critical schedules and resolve technical issues.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with ability apply their intent.
Ability to understand aircraft work instructions.
Demonstrate knowledge, skill and ability of drill/ream and countersink of aircraft structural components
Champion of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control measures

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
