SUMMARYAs a Continuous Improvement Leader, you will play a critical role in identifying, implementing, and sustaining improvements in our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, highly analytical, and possess Lean/TPM training or certifications. They will have the opportunity to significantly impact our operational efficiency and product quality. This person will be instrumental in building our Continuous Improvement/Lean culture and leading kaizen events throughout the year.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.Drive Operational Excellence in the facility via Lean/Kaizen events, CI activities, Projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.Conduct data analysis and root cause analysis to identify areas of improvement.Develop and implement strategies for process optimization and waste reduction.Lead Lean initiatives and projects aimed at improving productivity and efficiency (OEE).Manage a portfolio of process improvement projects.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to continuous improvement efforts.Train and mentor team members on Lean/TPM principles and best practices.Act as a change agent, driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.Ensure that improvements are sustained over time through effective documentation and standardization of processes.Create effective communication channels to disseminate project insights and results throughout the organization.Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.MARGINAL FUNCTIONSThe individual may be asked to perform other duties as requested.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAn individual qualified for this job must be able to:Deal effectively with people in various job capacities.Ability to coach and develop teammates to perform essential job functions.Skilled in analyzing target audience and presenting ideas in a clear, concise manner.Demonstrate strong organizational, problem solving, and people skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on report building, listening, and the ability to deliver effective training programs.Manage multiple projects simultaneously; use excellent project coordination skills.Operate a computer PC proficiency.Strong computer skills including minimum Intermediate level Microsoft Excel.Effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, team members, and internal or external customers. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.Efficiently perform accurate mathematical calculations.Handle challenges skillfully, thoroughly, and effectively.Independently take advantage of opportunities to improve or increase skills, abilities, and job knowledge. Make sure that work is delivered on time and of high quality.Develop good work practices in order to get the job done.Use equipment, resources, and time in an efficient and effective manner.Use good judgment when making decisions.Perform work in a safe manner at all times.Be professional in all interactions and dealings with co-workers, internal//external customers, and vendors.MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONSAn individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:Strong preference for bachelor's degree in relative major; will consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree.Experience - 2 years minimum in a Continuous Improvement role (100% of duties = CI) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement certifications a plus.5-years experience working in a manufacturing environment.Demonstrated experience in holding LEAN events, value stream analysis.Experience working with people from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the Essential Functions of this job.
