As a Structures Engineering Designer, your responsibilities will include: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for reinforced concrete, foundations and retaining structures, pre-stressed/post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, reinforced masonry, timber, and concrete repair & restoration Gain experience in the application of appropriate structural engineering principles, including building application of vertical & lateral forces (wind & seismic), mechanics of structures, finite element analysis (FEA), and structural dynamics of buildings Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer.
