Job Description: In this pivotal role, the CCIE Engineer will play a key part in optimizing and deploying the company's network infrastructure. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives. The day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with infrastructure staff, external consultants, and vendors to devise and execute network migration strategies, implement new architectures, and ensure seamless integration of multiple vendors' solutions. Additionally, the role will involve conducting thorough testing, documentation, and providing comprehensive training to the infrastructure team. Duties and Responsibilities Design and validate a scalable BGP network accommodating multiple vendors in a common IP space. Implement and test new edge network designs in a lab environment before production deployment. Collaborate with external consultants to devise and implement a new leaf and spine architecture for the core L3 network. Develop migration strategies and deployment plans for transitioning to the new architecture. Deploy and ensure proper operation of new Juniper routers in the test lab before production deployment. Document all deployments, challenges encountered, and provide comprehensive training to infrastructure staff. Cross-train staff on the new network design and system security plan development. Provide assistance and training on monitoring application usage and tuning strategies. Collaborate to design and deploy a new core and datacenter switching infrastructure. Conduct stress and failure testing in a POC environment and integrate it with the production environment. Configure Juniper Apstra appliances and provide training on their usage. Required Experience/Skills Active Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification. Extensive background and expertise in Nexus, data center operations, route switching, and Cisco UCS. Strong understanding of network architectures, protocols, and best practices. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-level network solutions. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Nice-to-Haves Experience with Juniper networking solutions and Apstra appliances. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools for network management. Familiarity with cloud networking technologies and virtualization platforms. Experience in system security plan development and network monitoring strategies. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered.
